What I the therapist offers you.
I offer integrative counselling, which means I combine therapeutic interventions to help you reach your goals in therapy.
As a counsellor, I offer you my honesty and respect as we explore issues you would like to bring to counselling at the times we have agreed.
Confidentiality
There are boundaries and limits to confidentiality in certain cases. Confidentiality may be broken if:
- You or others are, in the opinion of the therapist, seem to be in danger or at serious risk of being harmed.
- The therapist is required to do so by subpoena (Court order or instructions from a coroner)
- The client infers involvement in or knowledge of an act of terrorism or of money laundering
- The client infers knowledge of or involvement in drug trafficking
- The client infers knowledge of or involvement in behaviours that may, in the therapist’s opinion, lead to harm or neglect of children and vulnerable adults.
Supervision and confidentiality
I monitor my own Practice by attending regular supervision for myself and am committed to my own self-development.
There are times when aspects of our sessions will be taken to supervision to monitor my Practice; at no time will your name or any identifiable information be mentioned, and my supervisor is also committed to our contracted confidentiality.
Records of sessions
I keep notes relating to our sessions. I keep the notes on a secure online platform Qunote, and i am registered with the ICOInformation Commissioner’s Office). Your notes are available to you on request.
Contacting you
I will contact you only between appointments, if necessary, for example, to rearrange an appointment. Or if you do not attend your appointment.
Where and how would you prefer I contact you in this unlikely event?

Contacting myself between appointments
You may use this number to reach me via my business WhatsApp or telephone- 01492447200, or send an email to hello@fionatherapy.uk
It is possible to leave a voice mail on my phone, so if I am unable to answer, leave a message, email, or send a text, and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
The fees I charge are £65 per hour
Non-attendance
Should you cancel with less than the agreed 48-hour notice, or fail to attend an appointment, the full session fee will be charged.
Illness
I would ask that if you are displaying any symptoms of a contagious virus, you do not attend and contact me by phone to rearrange or attend via Zoom.
Therapeutic will
In the event of my sudden death, and in line with BACP guidelines, I have a professional will. You will be contacted by a registered therapist or supervisor of my choosing, who will offer you advice on finding alternative arrangements.
In the event I become suddenly unwell and not fit to work, I will contact you and offer you alternative arrangements. All prepaid therapy will be refunded.
